For UK Patients · First-Visit Protocol · No chair-side commitment

Designed for the patient who arrives with their guard up.

Many UK patients who reach us have had a previous experience that did not go well — sometimes overseas, sometimes at home. They arrive cautious, with reasonable doubt. This page sets out, plainly, how the first contact works, what gets agreed before you fly, and what your first day at the clinic actually looks like. The plan is finalised in writing before any flight is booked. Nothing is decided in the chair.

What patients worry about on first contact

Concerns we know from forty years of practice.

From thousands of first conversations, the same six concerns come up. We name them openly — and we explain how we handle each one.

"Language and being understood"

UK English throughout. Dr. Cansu Öztürk speaks English; reception, nursing and the aftercare coordinator are all English-speaking. WhatsApp correspondence and every document — treatment plan, consent form, warranty terms — in English.

"Sales pressure abroad"

No chair-side upsell. The plan is finalised in writing before you fly. The first clinic visit is a clinical reaffirmation, not a sales meeting. If a clinical finding genuinely requires a change, it is discussed openly with options and costs in writing — the decision sits with you.

"What if something goes wrong?"

"We fly you back" is a contractual clause, not a marketing line. For covered complications within the warranty period (10 years implants / 5 years crown & veneer / 2 years endo / 1 year soft tissue), GC covers the return flight, hotel, transfer and corrective treatment. Warranty in detail →

"Dental anxiety"

Sedation in graded stages: nitrous oxide (N₂O), oral sedation, or IV sedation with a qualified anaesthetist on site for longer procedures. Discussed in the free video consultation in advance — no surprise on the day. Sedation pathway →

"Privacy of my X-ray and records"

UK GDPR Article 9 (special-category health data): explicit consent before any upload. Encrypted transfer. Deletion at your written request, any time. Privacy policy →

"Can I bring a companion?"

Yes — explicitly welcome, including in the consultation room for the first appointment. For travel and accommodation we recommend the Couples or Family Package. Couples Package →

First-Visit Protocol

Four steps — from first contact to a finalised plan.

01

Free video consultation — before you fly

Twenty minutes with Dr. Cansu Öztürk personally. You show what's bothering you on a smartphone camera, or upload a panoramic X-ray / CBCT (UK GDPR Art. 9 consent). You hear a first clinical assessment, the realistic treatment options, and a rough cost corridor. No payment. No commitment.

Slots: Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00 UK time. Book via the online consultation form or WhatsApp. Book consultation →

02

Written treatment plan — within 4 hours

Within 2–4 hours of the video consultation you receive a written plan in English — by treatment, with itemised GBP pricing, materials specification (Straumann or Nobel with model and size, or Neodent value alternative where indicated), expected duration, number of trips. You can show the plan to your UK dentist, your private insurer, or simply sleep on it before you decide anything.

Included: warranty matrix (10 / 5 / 2 / 1 years), schedule, accommodation and transfer options, total cost in GBP. Warranty terms → · Cost vs UK private →

03

First clinic visit — clinical reaffirmation, not a sales meeting

The plan was already agreed in writing. The first clinic day reaffirms it clinically. A typical morning:

  • 09:00 — Reception. Tea, water or coffee. Walk-through of the practice in English.
  • 09:20 — Medical history. 20 minutes with Dr. Cansu Öztürk personally — general medical history, current medication, prior dental work, expectations.
  • 09:40 — Diagnostics. Calibrated clinical examination, intra-oral photographs, CBCT if not already submitted (UK GDPR Art. 9 consent).
  • 10:30 — Plan reaffirmation. 30–45 minutes — Dr. Öztürk walks through your existing written plan against today's findings: materials, sequencing, sedation pathway if applicable. Any clinical revision is discussed openly with cost and options in writing.
  • 11:30 — Take-home documents. Reaffirmed plan, examination summary, signed warranty clause, GBP price confirmation.

What this is not. It is not the moment of "deciding to go ahead" — that decision was made before the flight was booked. It is the moment of clinically reaffirming what we already agreed. Treatment then begins on the schedule already in your plan.

04

Comfort during treatment — the days that follow

Once treatment is under way, the structure is built around your comfort:

  • Sedation pathway — N₂O, oral, or IV sedation with a qualified anaesthetist for long procedures (e.g. All-on-4 in a single sitting).
  • Companion — family or partner can sit in the consultation room (where clinically suitable); Couples and Family packages cover the companion's stay.
  • Long appointments by default — aesthetic appointments are 2–3 hour blocks. The chair is yours; we don't run six-patient rotations.
  • Hotel & transfer — partner hotels in Nişantaşı (3 minutes' walk to the clinic), private airport transfer included with Premium / VIP tiers.
  • WhatsApp 24/7 — Dr. Öztürk personally reachable between sessions. Reply within 30 minutes during clinic hours.

Trip length: 5–7 nights for most treatments; 10–14 nights for full-mouth rehabilitation. Plan your stay → · Sedation options →

Anxiety, openly addressed

Five things we do differently when you arrive cautious.

  • 01
One named clinician. Dr. Cansu Öztürk personally — at the first video call, on arrival day, in the chair, at every review. No rotation, no "the surgeon will see you on the day".
  • 02
Long appointments by default. Aesthetic appointments are 2–3 hour blocks. We don't run a chair every twenty minutes.
  • 03
Conscious sedation and IV sedation available where clinically indicated, delivered by a qualified anaesthetist on site. For dental phobia, this is often what makes treatment possible at all. Sedation pathway →
  • 04
The written plan does not change in the chair. If clinical findings genuinely require a change, the change and its options are discussed openly, with the costs and consequences in writing, and the decision sits with you.
  • 05
You can stop and leave. If at any point during your visit you decide this isn't right for you, the consultation fee covers what you have received and we help arrange your return. No deposit forfeit, no pressure to "see it through".
No chair-side upsell

What we will not do on day one.

Common in factory clinics

  • "Same-day veneers — sign now, save 25%"
  • Scope creep from 6 veneers to 16 once you're in the chair
  • Pressure to commit before a written plan is finalised
  • Treatment in different languages with rotating clinicians

What we do

  • Written plan in English, agreed before flight, unchanged in chair
  • Conservative first — bonding, veneer, inlay before crown
  • The plan we agreed before you flew is the plan we follow
  • One clinician, one language, every appointment
After the first day

What patients write after their first clinic visit.

"I'd braced myself for sales pressure. Instead I got 90 minutes of actual conversation, the plan to take home — and the line: 'sleep on it.' That made the difference."

— Mrs M. · Manchester · 2024

"IV sedation finally let me sit through what 30 years of dental anxiety had stopped me from doing. Discussed in detail in the video call beforehand — no surprise in the chair."

— Mr K. · Edinburgh · 2024

"My husband sat in for the first appointment. That alone built the trust. By the second visit — the actual treatment — I was relaxed."

— Mrs S. · London · 2024

Common questions before the first visit

What patients ask us most.

Will I be obliged to start treatment on my first clinic visit?

No. The plan was agreed in writing before you flew. The first clinic visit reaffirms it clinically. Treatment then begins on the schedule already in your plan — there is no separate moment of "deciding to commit", because that decision was made earlier.

Will I be spoken to in English throughout?

Yes. UK English. Dr. Cansu Öztürk speaks English; reception, nursing and the aftercare coordinator are all English-speaking. WhatsApp correspondence and every document — treatment plan, consent forms, warranty terms, aftercare instructions — in English.

Can I bring a companion?

Yes — explicitly welcome, including in the consultation room for the first appointment. For travel and accommodation we recommend the Couples or Family Package, which covers the companion's stay.

What if I have severe dental anxiety?

Sedation in graded stages: nitrous oxide (N₂O), oral sedation, or IV sedation with a qualified anaesthetist on site. Discussed during the free video consultation in advance — no surprise on the day.

What does my first day at the clinic actually look like?

Reception with tea or water, 20 minutes of medical history with Dr. Öztürk personally, intra-oral photos and CBCT (UK GDPR Art. 9 consent), 30–45 minutes plan reaffirmation. The plan is the one you already agreed; treatment begins next on the schedule.
