Complex Endodontics Istanbul — retreatment and difficult cases, with specialist assessment.

Has your root canal failed? Does the treatment need to be redone? These cases are the core working area of an endodontist with specialist training who is a member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE).

Has another clinic recommended extraction? It is worth a second opinion from an endodontist before a tooth is removed.

The core question

Why is a root canal sometimes redone?

A previous root canal may have failed — missed canal anatomy, persistent infection, a separated instrument, or an inadequate seal. Retreatment removes the earlier work and replaces it with the correct procedure. A failed root canal does not mean you have to lose the tooth.
Case types we handle at the clinic
  • Root canal retreatment
  • Apicectomy (root-end surgery)
  • Separated instrument removal
  • Calcified canal treatment
  • Micro-surgical endodontics

The tooth-preservation principle: before any extraction is agreed, please seek a second opinion from an endodontist. Every tooth retained leaves a stronger long-term foundation, including for any future implant.

Process

How the assessment works.

01

Online pre-assessment

Share radiographs and any previous treatment notes. Written pre-assessment within 4 hours.

02

Visit · 2–3 days

CBCT and clinical examination. Retreatment plan or surgical decision provided in writing.

03

Treatment

Retreatment in 1–2 sessions · apicectomy in 1 session. Each session typically 60–120 minutes.

04

Follow-up

Remote follow-up via WhatsApp. Radiographic review recommended at 3 and 6 months.

Note: difficult cases take time. There is no such thing as "rapid retreatment"; the timeframe is set by the case itself. Treatment that is rushed only opens the door to a second failure.
