"Is it the same Straumann I'd get in London?"
Yes — identical. Straumann manufactures in Switzerland for both markets. The lot number of the fixture placed in your mouth is recorded in your surgical file and printed on your warranty certificate. You can cross-reference it with Straumann if you choose to.
"What if something goes wrong when I'm back home?"
Your first contact is the same doctor who placed the implant, by WhatsApp. Most post-operative issues are resolved remotely. If a clinical procedure is required, we coordinate with a UK dentist we trust and cover the cost — or we fly you back. The written warranty specifies which.
"Is Istanbul safe for this kind of trip?"
Nişantaşı is a residential and commercial district in central Istanbul — quiet, well-lit, ten minutes from Taksim. The clinic is on a side street a hundred metres from a row of hotels we have worked with for years. We arrange transfers, translator if needed, and you will not be asked to navigate public transport after surgery.
"How is my UK dentist supposed to support this afterwards?"
With a clinical letter in English, a copy of the CBCT and surgical plan, and a direct contact to Dr. Öztürk. UK dentists we have worked with have been consistently positive — the documentation is more comprehensive than a typical private referral would include.
"I already had a bad experience in Turkey. Why should I try again?"
